Oily Cart are looking for a Technical Stage Manager for our next Tour of Jamboree 

It’s time to make some noise! JAMBOREE is Oily Cart’s vibrant gig-performance for teenagers with complex needs (age 12+), and their friends and families. Let our Balkan band guide you through a colourful world, where the music can be felt through your whole body. Using tunes co-composed with young people with complex needs, JAMBOREE is a sensory theatrical riot like no other.

Two musicians will be embedded in an Additional Support Needs / Special or Complex Needs school for a week. They’ll work intensively with a group of young people with complex needs to co-compose and perform music together, ending in a joyous gig facilitated by additional musicians and hosts at the end of the week either in the school or a public venue. We need an experienced and organised touring STAGE MANAGER with excellent interpersonal skills, a clean driving licence, experience of working in school settings, and an interest in working with young people with complex needs.  The stage manager should also be capable of setting up a sound system for 5 speakers and 2 amps, have an understanding of how to operate Qlab and an ability to update the programme after each residency week, lastly they must have an understanding and experience of the ion lighting desk.

Salary for SM: £565.45 per week plus per diems and accommodation on tour.
