Placements and mentoring

Jerwood Fellowship
Jerwood Fellowships was an Imaginate project in partnership with Oily Cart and funded by Jerwood Arts which offered professional development support for four artists over two years to explore new performance ideas with a focus on supporting D/deaf and/or disabled artists and children.
The four Jerwood Fellows were Emily Nicholl, Claire Eliza Willoughby, Ellen Renton and Craig McCulloch.

Mentoring
We are a small team with currently only one creative lead, and unfortunately don’t have capacity to offer one to one advisory chats or mentoring. If you are interested in being put on a list for information about upcoming training, please contact hello@oilycart.org.uk
We highly recommend Oily Cart co-founder and former Artistic Director Tim Webb’s book: Sensory Theatre: How to Make Interactive, Inclusive, Immersive Theatre for Diverse Audiences by a Founder of Oily Cart
Work experience & educational placements
Where possible we offer work experience and educational placement opportunities in our London premises. We offer hands-on experience in the office, and observe prop and costume construction in our workshops. These opportunities provide a valuable insight into the day-to-day work of a producing company because all aspects of the work take place on our premises. For more information, please contact oilies@oilycart.org.uk
